Swat Valley, a home to several lakes, villages and peaks of Hindu Kash range located in Northern Pakistan in the province of KPK. The plains of this region start from Landakay to Madyan, which are running along bank of the river but they are very short. Majority people’s language of this valley is Pashto with very few percentages of Kohistani. The climate remains averagely cool throw out the year due to its elevation of about 3,220 ft (average).

The Switzerland of Pakistan (Swat) covers itself Pine trees Summer and very rainy. Snowy in Winter and a number of spices of different wild animals found. Stay safe Cheetah especially in the night.  People of Swat are simple, loving and kind heart. I will mention this place in the list of best tourists’ destination.  You should visit Swat in the between month of May to September.

Kalam:

If you are coming to Swat, Kalam will be the first point you should visit. Kalam is about 99Km from Mingora. The river flowing through whole this SWAT valley starts from here. This valley is 6,600feet above sea level. From the start of valley there are beautiful hotels for the tourist, most of them are closed in winter season. The Average temperature in this valley is about 13.4 which is quite cold for you if you are coming from Sindh or Balochistan. People from different areas if KPK also go there to spend their summers. Because the hottest month hits only about 24.1 °C in July and the coldest is January with 1.5 °C average temperature. I visited in the month of February; you will see snow everywhere in those days. So, in my opinion April to August could be the best time to visit Kalam valley.

Mangowara Swat:

Every district includes a city which its central and economical hub. In Swat Mingora is that which is administrative center of Malakand division. Mingora included in the 3rd most populated city of KPK with an estimated population of 279,914 people in 2019. This city also averagely remain cools throw out the year with an average temperature of 19.3. There are number of hotels and resorts for the tourist visiting Mingora city.

Usho Forest:

Northern areas of Pakistan are full of greenery but Swat always remains top in this characteristic. Usho is at 3Km from Kalam valley. This forest is full of Devdar tress and is the largest as well in Pakistan. In full winter season forest is mostly covered with snow, but for people visiting in summers they can have proper camping site.

Glacier in Swat Valley:

Glaciers in Swat are the natural beauty of Pakistan. After about 20 to 30 minutes’ drive from Usho forest, Glacier of Swat will start. You will see kids in groups selling boiled eggs there to keep you warm and energetic. Glaciers are always a tourist attraction in Swat. These glaciers are nearly at a distance of 16KMs from Kalam.  About 8 to 9 months in a year glacier remains there. This is the best Kalam tourist point.

Dhamaka Jheel:

Dhamaka Lake or Dhamaka Jheel (in local language) similar to Attabad in Hunza, this lake is near and can be listed in the most beautiful lakes of Pakistan. But, the route to this lake is very dangerous as it passes throw mountains in which land sliding is normal in every season. In winter season lake is mostly frozen. In the cold wind at the side of lake you will find most relaxing experience of your life.

Paloga Village:

A beautiful village near Ushu valley in Swat, at about 40 to 45 minutes’ drive from Kalam valley. This village is very cultivated, Paloga village is famous due to its quality and taste of crops growing there. Paloga’s potatoes are being distributed at different cities of Pakistan. Swat river flows throw this village also and the village is surrounded by Deodar Trees. View point of the highest peak of Swat Falak Sar is also located there.

Blue Water:

Blue water is a picnic point in Anakar Valley. This lake is famous in Swat because of its beauty and crystal clean water. You have to go in Jeep and nearly takes 40-minute drive from main Kalam valley. Both side of lake is covered by the dense forest.

Malam Jabba:

A Hill station of Pakistan with an altitude of 9,199 ft (2,804m). Malam Jabba is at a distance of 314Kms from Islamabad, Pakistan. And it about 3 hours driving distance from Mingora. This place has the unique beauty in the Swat District. What makes Malam Jabba unique? One of the 2 ski resorts in Pakistan is located in Malam Jabba and other one is in Naltar, Giltit. Every year snow festival is arranged here, which includes different games. Alpine ski competition, speed skating competition, snowboarding competition, archer, ziplining, ice hockey at magic mountain, ice curling took place in recent winter sports festivals. These events taking tourism in Pakistan to next level and attracting more and more local as well as international travellers to visit Pakistan.
